As I pen stories about mom and I, there is a healing calm that overcomes me. So often we become tangled as Care Advocates in small details, because there may be a perception of failure. We analyze a singular action out of hundreds, as having the most influential impact on a loved one, and effectively discard all the amazing successes.
When I share my stories and poems during education sessions and presentations, I often hear Care Partners talk about perceived failures, rather than obvious wins. There is no perfection when making choices to assist someone with any health condition.
...Or perhaps in another person's eyes you were their "Lost Perfection."
